Urgent Care for Children Expands Into Louisiana
Award-winning pediatric urgent care begins serving families in New Orleans and Mandeville

NEW ORLEANS, Lou., (Dec. 8, 2021) – Parents now have a new option when their children get sick and their pediatrician is unavailable. Urgent Care for Children (UC4C) has made its mark in Louisiana by opening two clinics in the state within seven days of one another. With late night and weekend hours, the clinics’ goal is to serve as a convenient and affordable after-hours alternative to the emergency room.

The Mandeville location sits at 3663 U.S. Highway 190, anchored by Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids and Chick-Fil-A. The New Orleans clinic is located in the Prytania Plaza Shopping Center at 4907 Prytania Street. While these two locations are the company’s first in the Bayou State, they are no stranger to neighboring states, Alabama and Tennessee, where they operate 14 existing clinics with more than 5,000 five-star reviews.

“As a physician-owned and operated pediatric urgent care, we are proud to offer after-hours services to treat conditions for ages zero to 21 years. Our team of board-certified pediatricians is here to deliver quality care, which is considered a continuum of care to a child’s primary care pediatrician. We serve our communities 365 days a year and have an onsite laboratory and x-ray at each facility. It is an honor to provide these offerings and do so while being the nation’s first sensory-inclusive urgent care, a recognition of our commitment to accommodating children with special needs,” said Urgent Care for Children President and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Allury Arora.

Similar to the locations in Alabama and Tennessee, the clinics are designed to be accessible, convenient, and kid-friendly. “New Orleans was a natural first landing spot for us as we continue our expansion into Louisiana. In doing so, we wanted to serve both the Northshore and Southshore communities, which led to us opening a second clinic in Mandeville. We are looking forward to continuing our expansion in the greater New Orleans area in the future,” explained UC4C Vice President of Real Estate, Neal Owens.

UC4C’s growth into Louisiana continues the company’s rapid expansion plan throughout the Southeast. The Birmingham-based provider is set to broaden its reach into new territories in 2022. Urgent Care for Children will celebrate its newest additions in Mandeville and New Orleans with ribbon-cutting ceremonies on January 12 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
