Urgent Care for Children to Open Vestavia, Madison and Tuscaloosa Clinics

Urgent Care for Children (UC4C), a physician-owned pediatric urgent care provider, has announced plans to open three new pediatric after-hours urgent care clinics in Vestavia, Madison, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama in Fall 2019.

“Over the past two years, Urgent Care for Children has served thousands of patients in the greater Birmingham area, and we are excited to expand our operations across the state with three new clinic locations in Vestavia, Madison and Tuscaloosa,” said Dr. Allury Arora, founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Urgent Care for Children. “We look forward to expanding our mission of providing quality care with less waiting after-hours and on weekends 365 days a year.”

UC4C Vestavia will be located on Highway 31 in the area surrounding the Vestavia Hills City Center (520 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216). UC4C Madison will be located on Highway 72 nearby Balch Crossing (8490 Highway 72 West, Madison, AL 35758). UC4C Tuscaloosa will be located in the Wood Villas area off New Watermelon Road (4700 Rice Mine Road NE, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406). Urgent Care for Children currently operates two clinics in the greater Birmingham area, located on Highway 280 and in Trussville.

In April 2019, Urgent Care for Children finalized a multi-million dollar round of Series A funding with plans to scale operations, increase capacity and fuel expansion. In addition to the three planned clinics, Urgent Care for Children plans to continue its growth and open several additional locations across the state of Alabama in 2019 and 2020.

“We are excited to scale our operations across the state, increasing access to quality pediatric urgent care for our patients and families,” said J. Bannon Thorpe, CEO of Urgent Care for Children. “The support of our medical leadership and investors coupled with the excellent patient care from our pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners and medical staff has been the backbone of our clinics and will continue to guide Urgent Care for Children as we expand across the state.”

Urgent Care for Children creates a continuum of care, supplementing the hours of local pediatric offices and providing an affordable alternative to the emergency room. The company is physician-owned and operated and is one of the state’s highest patient-rated pediatric urgent care facilities. Its team of pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners offer acute diagnostic and treatment care for children with non-life-threatening medical needs after-hours and on weekends, 365 days a year.
