Why did you choose to practice pediatrics?
When I was in nursing school, the pediatrics population was just something I connected to. It was fun and I enjoy making a difference with kids. I enjoy working with children and families so much.

What is most rewarding about your work?
I would say seeing kids feel better at the end of their visit. And of course seeing their faces when they get a sticker or popsicle on their way out.

How does being a parent help in the way you provide care and work with your patients and their families?
As a parent, you want the best care for their child. When I care for other children I try to provide the same care as I would want for my own son. With every patient and family I provide the best care that I can.

When working with your patients and their families, what is your approach?
I spend the time educating parents as I think that is so important.

How do you stay healthy and happy?
Spending time with family and friends, exercising and traveling help me stay happy and healthy.
